Limousine and the Lesbian Parade

Wow, what a night.....busy busy. So many people out for the Lesbian Parade in San Francisco.
Trip after trip after trip. And were they all in the Party mode. Ended up taking sooooo many of them to the Power Exchange on Otis street. The Power Exchange is one of san Francisco's largest open Sex clubs. Transgender, Gay and Straight.

Of course, today is the Gay Pride Parade. Will definately not be going to San Francisco. Will be staying aboard my Sailboat here at the Berkeley Marina. Streets closed and all. Much more relaxing over here......................Jon

Cab and Limousine Trips

Just wondering what stories to tell. They all seem to run togther. Have a new friend in my life that I would like to see get into the Business. However, he unwilling to give up his addition at this time...........what a shame

Just returned from a trip to my daughters in Las Vegas. HAd a great time with my grandson, Ethan. Then went to Portland for a day. Wow, what a city. Clean, Green and people friendly.
The Columbia River looks like a fantaastic place to park my sailboat. Yes, am giving serious thought to moving to Portland. Kinda starting a new life...........taking a new road in my "senior life crisis"

Yes, I would miss those Clients that have become part of my life. More about them later. And would certainly miss 3$bill

Limousine Stories for 3$bill

The question is for 3$ bill........Where have you been? Have looked at the usual "cutter' locations. Have you turned Straight?

Enough of him for now.

Took a customer home today from SF Airport. Helped her with the bags upstairs to her home when she said ......."Opps" I have someone elses bag. So we had to head back to the Airport to exchange bags. That was a costly trip for her. Can you imagine?

Have a few days off. Hopefully.

Any other type of stories you would like to hear? Jon

Limousine Maddness

Wow. This is definately a 7 day week around the clock Business. One does definately met som interesting people. However, not like the Cab Business, especially driving nights.

I remember the night I picked up a male and female ...........turned out to b a Tranny. And the Dude was a drunk Hispanic. They were going the New Pacific Hotel on Polk st. That is where most of the Tranvestites reside. Oh, he was so lovy dovy with the Tranny. Can you imagine the look on his face when he pulls down her panties?

Are you there 3$bill?

Driving the Limousine

Back to the Limo this evening. Picking up one of my usual "suspects" as they say. What a wonderful Lady she is...........Works in LA and lives here in SF. We've actually become good friends over the years. Her and her husband are great sources of information about San Francisco's better resturants.

Tomorrow will be taking another long term client from SFO to his home in San Jose. Owns his own Hedge Fund. A very astute person.

Oh, a must see movie: The Bank Job !!

Anyone heard about 3bill lately?

Foot Fetish

I'm cruising along Folsom street looking for a Flag. Ooops, i see one down near 6th street.
He hops in and wants me to take him to the Castro. Along the way he makes a comment about my height. Then proceeeds to ask me what shoe size i wear. I told him 13 wide. Then he asked if i had a high arch. which I explained yes. Not sure where he was going with all of this.

He finally asked if he could see my feet with my shoes off. Can you imagine? I finaly asked exactly thqat is he was trying to get to?

Wanted me to rub my bare feet on his stomach and then walk on his stomach.

Wow. What do you think happened?

Cheers............Jon

My Sailboat

As I mentioned, I'm living aboard my 35' Cheoy Lee Robb Sailboat at the Berkeley Marina. This is my 3rd Sailboat I have called home.

However, I'm thinking about selling or trading for a Trawler. Want do do more traveling on the Bay, like the Delta's, Sacramento and Petaluma Rivers. Can't do those type of trips aboard a Sailboat........too long of a trip.

Oh, in my next writing, I'll tell you about a customer that has a foot fetish.........amazing when I think I've heard it all

Something interesting on Market street

I was driving up Market Street when I noticed a sign outside the Gay Lesbian center. Quess what it said? A new coffe shop and meeting place "3dollar bill" Can you just imagine where our friend 3$bill hangs at. Probably better than where he usually hangs.

Just dropped off one of my clients in the Mission. He was telling me that he had asked for a 4 month leave of absence and was given six months. He works for one of the large consulting firms and is a wireless specalists. Of course, he plans on looking for a new job in tghat time frame.

Writing this Blog aboard my 35' Cheoy Lee Sailing Vessel here at the Berkeley Marina.

See you tomorrow...........Jon

I'm back after almost two years

Well, I'm back to tell everyone new stories and prior experience. The Limousine Business finally took it's toll on my personal life. Of course, I still do some private Chauffeur work a few people.

Yes, the Business was sold. Now I live aboard my 35' Cheoy Lee sailboat at the Berkeley Marina.

One important question. Has anyone seen 3$bill? I did get a e-mail from him at Christmas. Nothing since. No calls, etc i sure do miss him as a customer. Anyhow, let me know if you've seen him in the Castro or South of Market area.

anyone interested in hearing certain type of Cab stories? Let me know before I get started tomorrow

Fishnets? 2005

Tuesday, December 27, 2005

I wonder what that means? Our friend e-mailed me about Christmas and Fishnets. I assume he means net stockings that females wear? I wonder where is his going with this ? I'm sure I will hear more. Let me know if you know something I don't, pleaseOff to Felton (Santa Cruz area) tonight at 11:15pm. I sure hope the rain settles down a bit. Don't really like driving over highway 17. Had got a call from a person this afternoon asking the costs of going to SFO to Felton. He ended up selecting my Sedan service. Going to be taking his neice home. Hope we can engage in a nice intilligent conversaation. Will give you the details tomorrow.

Oh, was in Las Vegas for Christmas. Spent the day with my daughter, grandson and son-in-law. Had a fabulous time. Waiting to hear from my son who lives in Hong Kong. he went to Iran for Christmas. Speaking of Iran, pick-up a new client and his partner in Potrero Hill area. One of the two is VP of a Travel agency that specalizes in Exotic and remote tours world wide. They both had been in Iran about a year ago. And just raved about the country. So much History. And how wonderful and friendly the Iranian people were. Amazing what we find out first hand about other cultures. Should not pay too much attention to the news media.

I really need to start using fictious names for people I meet in the Cab and or Limousine. Will make it much easier when writing. Maybe someone will have an idea for Our Friend. what do you think?

See you soon.................Jon

You Know Who! 2005

Tuesday, December 20, 2005

Well, let me tell a "good" one. Remember me mentioning that I was unable to pick-up "our friend" . So I called one of my cab buddies to do it for me. He drives for De Soto. His name is ...oops. almost forgot I cannot use names. Pretty soon I'm going to use false names and then no one can get upset. I thought about warning him about getting "hit-on"even though he is older than "our friend". Long Hair and all. Not exactly attractive. Of course, guess what? I got an e-mail from our friend giving me all the details and how much he wanted to jump in the front seat with him. And I've yet to hear from the other driver. Hope he is still talking to me!Can just imagine the conversation between the two.

Wow......simply amazing! I'm sure I'll hear more details (graphic) about their ride, as I'm picking him up in the morning. Maybe he's "fixed" on the other driver and will not bother with me.

Sure wish Google would become more creative with their ads. These Ads are old and boring. Agree?

On my way to SFO to pick-up my twice a week client. Yep, she leaves on Monday morning to LA and returns another day of the week. She works in IT for one of the major Banks. Then I'll see her and the husband again on Thursday. Back to SFO where she will head to New York for Christmas.

See you all tomorrow...........

French Connection 2005

Monday, December 19, 2005

Before I get into the French Connection I will have to let all know that "he" wrote me about the Cab driver I sent him... as I was busy. You know who I'm talking about !!

Remember the story about the Software Company? Well the President is from Paris, France. Simply a fantastic individual. His wife to be soon is from Switzerland. Although she speaks French as well. And she to, is in the Software Business. Although not the same company. They both came to SF via Boston. And prior to Boston, Paris. And have been here about 2yrs. Also, have met both their parents and his brother. This truely has been a great business relationship. Sometimes he is hard to understand. When he speaks English fast...guess what? Almost sounds like something between French and English. Have had losts of Fun playing Tour Directer, sending them off to all those great historical locations in Northern California. And many many points of interest.

By the way he did have a conversation with the new admin. person I had a "run-in" with over Transportation service for their staff. Sure I won't have any more problems with her !!

Now, remember the American in Paris? The writer?

Oh, my diner is ready....salmon. Rusty is sitting near by waiting to see what drops his way....wrong.
Back to finish up................oh, the salmon was scrumptous !!

The President of the Software Company had left for Snow Bird near Salt Lake City for the week-end. Dropped heand his lady off..got the house keys to pass on to their friend coming in from LA. His friend is also from Paris. Works in LA. I pick-up him and his "Knock-out" Girl friend. You guessed it.from Paris as well.Only she didn't speak much English. Took them to the Presidents house. And gave them ideas and places to visit while in SF. Told them not to miss the DeYoung Museum in GG Park.

Wish I could use first names!! Would be so much easier to keep track of people for me and you both
Anyhow, all these French people all just FANTASTIC to get to know. Now I don't agree with other Americans who have negative things to say about the French. They are all wrong.

And yes, I've been to Paris myself years ago. Forgot to mention that the Frenchman from LA knows the address of the writer that lives in Paris.

Unfortunately, I have to close to get ready to watch CSI Miami. So I'll get back to you about what the "You know who" said about the other Cab Driver I sent.

American in Paris 2005

Saturday, December 17, 2005

Here we are again. One of my favorite customers called me the other day for a ride to SFO. He is an American living in Paris. And a writer.. Has written many books on Travel and Restaurants in France. His current project is the study of "Farmers" in France. Particually those who have gone back to growing Organic foods. Wow, what an interesting project to be able to write about. Should have the book done when he returns to the U.S. Oh, he comes here to visit his Mom and sister about every 3 to 4 months. Will keep you posted.

Stopped by the Cab Company...can't mention the name, of course. And spent some time with one of my close associates who is the supervisor in the Radio Room. Of course now it is all Computers. Her and I go way back. Feeding orders, etc. Of course that is how she made her extra income. And mine as well. Nowadays that is no longer possible. The Radio room is loaded with Cameras, phones that are taped and computers that block her from "tossing orders" to her favorite drivers. Wow, is she "pissed" about all of this. Needless to say, her income has dropped dramatically. Now she has to live on her hourly wage of about 12.00 hr. Can you imagine?

Haven't heard from our "Queer' customer lately. He sure has been quiet. Maybe he's writing a BLOG!! Better be doing something constructive rather than "cruising". Anyhow, I'll see him on Monday. Will keep you posted as to what he does, when he gets in the Cab!!

Heading out to take a Client from SF to Berkeley for a party. Wait and bring her back home. Then it's off to the "races"....
Christmas Shoppers, that is..........

Queer As a 3 Dollar Bill 2005

Tuesday, December 13, 2005

He's back !! Nosey. Always snooping at the Blog. Wanting to see if he is mentioned. Guess he has nothing else to do. Of course, he should create his own Blog. I know he has this tremendous knowledge of Medicine for the potential cure for Aids. And above average knowledge of current medicines. I know he can make a difference in people's lives. Let's all Cheer him on.

Oh, he did e-mail yesterday about an appointment for next Monday. I'm sure I'll be "hit-on" again. Guess I'll just have to endure......after all, he is the customer. By the way, he does have a partner...Uum.

More about the "nervous Nelley" next week.

Had a "run-in" with a new admin. person for one of my accounts. She didn't realize my connection with the President of the Company, who has been a Client of mine since he came to SF from Boston. I was told that their were field people in town for training. And that they would need transportation to the two Airports. So I called her yesterday afternoon and asked her if she had the times for departures. She said she would be getting all the information last night. Told her I'd come by the office in the morning to coordinate. So I arrive around 9:30 am. After being introduced to her by the Presidents Admin person we sit down to get all the trips and times. She then told me she had the schedule all worked out. Grat..easy then for me. Only then does she say she made arrangements with another company. Shuttle Vans. Wow, did I start to see RED. I asked her why she agreed to meet with me? She told me that it was all taken care of last night. Well, why did you agree to have me come over? He reply was she didn't have time for Samantics. Then I took verballyafterher and walked out! I know the President will hear about the incident. Of course, I'll have the last word.

The saga will continue................

Back Again Finally 2005

Monday, December 12, 2005

Back again. Somebody has been very critical of my spelling. Rightfully so. So I'm using "Spell-check" this time. Let's see if it works? Have been extremely busy during the past week. Between the Cab and Limousine, haven't had much time to myself.

Oh, purchased a second Sedan for my Limousine Business. Will be leasing the vehicle to a young gentleman. And of course, will be "Coaching" him into the Business. Interesting person. Grew up in San Francisco. (Bayview- Hunter's Point) Spent his younger years on the "street corners" being self employed...know what I mean? Well, I'm sure you can figure this one out. Then afinally realized there was no future in what he was doing. So he entered to Army. Came back ho me and proceeded a career with Banks. Major success. Now he will become self-employed in the Limousine Business. An opportunity to develope his own clientele.

Was hired Saturday to take a gentleman and his wife to Berkeley for diner. He is in the Sake Business. Imports and distributes to resturants, etc. Apparently a new "fad". Guess the Yuppies and Yuppiets are starting this trend. Oh, there is a Sake Liquor store here in San Francisco. And that is all they carry. Going to have to check out this one. hope I don't get caught up in this new trend.
Started to head back to SF only to find the traffic going back to SF backed-up. Probably a 45 minute delay just getting to the Bay Bridge. That east Bay traffic simply "Sucks". So I decided to stay in Berkeley and wait for my clients to return at 11:00pm. Got them back home and shot off to SFO to pick-up another Client at 11:45pm to take back home.

See you tomorrow. Will be meeting a new Client today. Can't wait to see what he is all about?

The TV Encounter 2005

Monday, December 05, 2005

As I left my last client at the Lush Lounge, a Flag appears. You guessed right. A TV and her date got in. As the TV taps me on the shoulder with a nice "Hi". And proceeded to ask me to take her to the New Pacific Hotel (Home to the working TV's etc.) Her date was a poor soul who had been drinking quite alot. This poor unsuspecting Mexican who barely spoke English was with out a doubt in for a major surprize. Since the TV loooked as good as any female, the date wouldn't know the difference until of course....and you know the rest of the story...

Haven't heard from one of my favorite clients. The person who encouraged me to start this BLOG. Guess I got "kicked to the curb". Just kidding. He's probably extremely busy with his new assignment.

Oh, by the way, I'm rally having FUN with this Blog.
Limousine out tomorrow

The Castro 2005

Sunday, December 04, 2005

The Castro Area - Just dropping off in the Castro neighborhood, when all of a sudden I spot the "old man" standing on one of the corner's holding onto his crotch. He is always there. Quess that means he is looking for a date. What a pervert. Looking like he does would be enough to run in the other direction. Can't imagine anyone picking him up!! Oops. Spoke too soon. Here come my customer from the South Bronx. Can't believe my eyes. Yes, he stops and does sthe same thing the "old man" is doing....WOW...what a scene. Amazing what people see in others !! Oh well.

Time to start looking for a Flag. And get the hell out of "Dodge", as they say. Oh, here's one. Another male going to North Beach (Broadway St.) Umm, wonder what he was doing in the Castro? Now on his way to the "titty" Bar area. Amazing. Wanted to know what Strip Clubs I could recommend. I asked if he was looking for Male or Female Clubs? He replied sheepishly that he was from out of town and didn't know his way around. Ya, sure I said to myself. Well as soon as he realizied I new my way around and really didn't care about anyone's sexual preference, he opened up. He asked if I knew of a Transvesitte Bar. So I took him over to Post and Polk..to the "Lush" Lounge. I explained to him that most of the TV's were "working" !! I hope he knew what I meant.
Back tomorrow about my next Flag...really "juicy"

World AIDS Day 2005

Wednesday, November 30, 2005

The gay customer I talked about yesterday called me and explained to me that he is from the South... South Bronx, that is, not Brooklyn. Amazing, didn't think males from the Bronx wore "heels" and "bags." Guess that's why they migrate out of there.World Aids Day is tomorrow, December 1st. And a ceremony will be held in Golden Gate Park at the Grove between 11:30 and 1:30.

Cab Driving Day 2005

Tuesday, November 29, 2005

Cab driving day - Out the Gates I go in my Yellow machine.

Remember "The Pulse of the City"? It's 4:00am and I'm leaving to go get my regular client in Noe Vally and take him downtown to work. What a character. Moved here from Brooklyn several years ago. He's a great guy! More about him in the future.

Head up Market street lookng for Flags. Get the Red Light at 6th. Amazing all the late night life still out there simply hanging out. Some of course, seeking Crack. Off we go on the Green. Don't want to hang out in this area (Tenderlion) too long. Got to Church and Market where I catch a Flag. Young man not going too far. But a ride is a ride regardless of the amount. Afterall, that's dollars I didn't have before. Anyhow, he asks me if I smoke weed. No. He said he had extra to share. Well that was a "Red Flag". Cause when I got to the location he wanted, he said he would be right back. Had to go inside and get the money. That he would leave the weed till he came back. Of course, you guessed right...he never came back. But, I already knew that. Weed anyone?

Passed by Fillmore and Haight (Another Crack corner) watching the sellers look at me as if I was looking to score for a customer. Not this go around fellas. Back into the Castro seeing if I can catch an Airport. Bingo, got one from an address that came thur the cab computer. Came back from SFO thru the Sunset seeking another trip to SFO. Or finding flags when Muni is down. Traffic staring to pick-up. Seeing more people getting to work. Daylight is coming up. City starting to come alive. Of course, traffic as well. Caught a ride downtown. then back out to Pacific Heights to seek out more poeple neding a cab to work or those who don't want to wait on Muni. As the morning moves along, traffic getting heavier. Business brisky! This will be a good day.

Time to go get another regular. This one is beyond interesting. Has Aids. But a remarkable long-term survivor. Came to SF from Brooklyn years ago. Worked as a bartender in one of the City's Hottest Gay Bar. Then he took a detour with Drugs. And joined the underworld of deceitful survival. And then a five year break as a guest of the Governement. Upon returning to society he made a beyond remarkable turn around of his life. For all this...I totally have fond respect for him.

A little more than self confident and thinks highly of himself. Thinks he is a gift to other men. Nothing wrong with that. Anyhow, he gets in the Cab and proceeds to tell me about an Actor from NY who was in Sf preforming. And the actor came to his table and immediatley started "hitting" on him. And he asks my customer about his Italian Sausage. And that he would like to take him home to fulfill all his pleasures. And the conversation continues. Little too raunchy to put into print. Dropped him off at SF General Hospital.

Then dropped over the hill to turn in the Cab. See you ina few days. Back to the Lmousine. Oh, have another interesting Client to tell you about .............

Day After Thanksgiving 2005

Friday, November 25, 2005

Day after Thanksgiving - Had a fabulous Thanksgiving at my daughter's house in Las Vegas, and I really enjoyed spending time with my Grandson.

6:45 am: Started out today with my Limousine picking up a customer at Nob Hill. He was on his way to NY for a week to see friends and visit several museums, and take in several Broadway Shows... then onto Singapore where he has a home... then on to New Zealand to his farm. Ultimately ending up in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he will spend the Holidays with his lifestyle partner. Jakarta is their official home and location of their business.

Took me quite a long time to figure out that these two were more than business partners. Regardless, they both are outstanding customers. They use me continually when they are in town for errands and dining events. And to such places as the hills in Mill Valley and to the town of Hillsborough.

Will be chatting about these two unusual individuals and their friends/slash/business associates in the future.

11:00am: Picked up another customer, his wife and two daughters at SFO. Wow, they looked exhausted. Guess traveling for the holidays with two small children can take the toll on one's self. He is a research scientist at one of the major Universities here in SF. His wife is a medical doctor in SF. Both have been customers of mine for the past six years. Will be seeing him again on the 6th December.

That's it for the day. Only two Clients. However, tomorrow I'll be fairly busy.

In the meantime, a suggestion was made by my web designer that I could use a Editor. You know what.........she is correct. Amazing how I got thru English in High School and USF. Might be hiring her to assist me in grammar and sentence structure. Any thoughts?
See you soon..................Jon

Where to start on Day 1

Wednesday, November 23, 2005

Have had a day-off today. No clients. Prepared for my trip to Las Vegas tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day, to spend with my daughter, son-in-law and my Grandson. I'm like a little child... I get so excited to see my family. Unfortunately, my son, who lives and works in Hong Kong will be unable to join us, although he'll be with us in spirit.

Now is the time to say "Thank-you" to three wonderful people who are largely responsible for this Blog. One person is a Client who pressed me about 10 years ago to write a book entitled "The Pulse of the City," incorporating those Cab Stories we are going to embark upon in the near future. Another Client, one that I consider my Mentor, although he talks techno well over my head, enticed me enough to research the details of what he was talking about, which was putting up a "blog". Through our conversations every Monday and Thursday this site came to being. And finally, my fun-loving web designer of www.prestigeride.com came into play. Knowing nothing about the world of blogs, she figured a way to set one up for me. Fabulous work !!

My personal tribute to all of you!!

Oh, I did have a relatively new client call me to schedule appointments for next week. I suggested he e-mail me with all the dates and details. As you can imagine, it is impossible to drive and write down all that information. And so he did. When I got home I received his e-mail with the information needed to take care of his travel plans to and from SFO. Of course, private drivers are generally the last person people think of when they travel. We are then expected to meet their needs as though we have no other clients. And so we do, always making the client feel important as we meet their needs.Something else needs to be explained. After driving a cab for all those years, I decided to develop my own business. You guessed right... the infamous Limousine Business. So I converted my taxicab customers over to the Limousine business, which you will hear more about on an ongoing basis. I still drive my Cab a few days a week just to keep my "fingers" in the business and to have a mental cushion (revenue insurance) should something happen unexpected in the other business. So I will draw my stories from both. Both of these transportation ventures will provide "juicy" and "dicey" stories as well as human interest stories.

Will be back on Friday. Have two Clients to take from SF to SFO. And the other from SFO to SF. My client, traveling on Friday, lives on Nob Hill and in Indonesia and is truly an interesting individual. Will go into details about him on Friday.

Have a FUN Thanksgiving!!
Jon
